Linked Care: Main testing has started.

A big step for the digitalization of care: the main testing of the new interdisciplinary connecting software has started in the Linked Care project. Since January 7th, 2025, employees of Volkshilfe Oberösterreich's mobile nursing and care services, doctors and pharmacies have been testing the innovative digital system for ordering medication for clients. The Vienna Red Cross, Volkshilfe Vienna and Johanniter Pflege in Tyrol are involved in the test with control groups.

Using the mynevaToGo app, caregivers can order medication for clients directly from their work cell phone. The system automatically transmits the order to the doctor's software, where it can be checked, adjusted and prescribed by the doctor. Prescriptions can then be redeemed at the pharmacy by mobile care and support staff using a QR code. These automated, interdisciplinary processes primarily reduce the travel and waiting times that were previously required to reorder medication.

As part of this six-month evaluation, the workflows with and without Linked Care are being compared. Around 90 nursing and care staff are taking part in the test phase. Initial results show that efficiency, quality and accessibility to information can be improved with Linked Care.
